Mention of a house Freame Barclay and Freame in which one David Barclay was a partner. He has firm Wilberforce and Smith at Hull. Note that his brother-in-law is Wm Wilberforce. A line here produces of Gov of Aust. GEC, Peerage, Carrington, p. 62 notes, Smith and Payne are first seen as bankers from a London directory, for 1759.
