4. Progenitor, timber business Norman James-120453 (Richard II , Richard I , Progenitor ) was born in 1713. He died in 1787.

He is son3. He has three sons, the eldest dies in childhood, He is cultivated in tastes, collects books and prints, a gardener, friend of scientists. By 1754 this man lives at The Rookery, a house and 37 acres in Bromley Common, out of London, he used to carry two pistols and with an armed servant when he rode into London. The Blackfriars timber yard is got in 1700, and an adjoining house at 13 Earl St. Clay book p. 2. His timber is largely from Norway. He is son3 of seven sons. Founder of family in Clay's book, p. 1, is Master of Carpenter's Company, of St Ann's Blackfriars, and resident in St Botolph's, Richard Norman born in Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire, in 1646. St Anne's became site of the family's timber yard.

James married (1) wife1 Wroughton Henrietta-120454 daughter of Wroughton James-65062 and Eyre Anne-51733. Henrietta died in 1760 in ante.

They had the following children:

+ 5 M i Timber merchant Norman George-37089 was born in 1756. He died in 1830.
+ 6 M ii Norman Richard-57682 was born in 1757. He died in 1846.
  7 M iii Norman James-512270.

James married (2) wife2 Innocent Eleanora-93418 daughter of Innocent Progenitor-291780 and INotknown Miss-291781.
